Self-liquification, Limb regeneration, its bad if he is hot or melted to liquid, he wont be a solid body if  that happens or caught on fire/burnt by it, when liquify he becomes a tar and not for long so he stays always cool to keep his solid form, having limb regeneration makes him able to have legs.

As for growing his limbs back, takes months for it
